Barbara Hilder
 

Barbara gained her qualifications  in Fine Arts at Wollongong West TAFE in 1979, and at     Alexander Mackie CAE, Sydney in 1983 . Since 1983 she has been teaching Painting & Drawing  for the Associate Diploma course at Wollongong West TAFE School of Art & Design, and the 3rd year Advance Diploma in Drawing and Painting.

 

In her 25-year professional career her work has received awards, including the Port Kembla Lloyd Rees Drawing Prize, the Port Kembla First Prize for Painting and the Wollongong Gallery acquisitive Purchase Prize.


She has had many Solo shows, and participated in numerous Group shows. Her work is in private and corporate collections in Australia and overseas and includes the Wollongong City Gallery;  Wollongong University; the Bundanon Trust; Macquarie Bank, Sydney; Clayton Utz, Sydney; and Alexander Mackie, Sydney.
